now to one of my favorite games ever, also with fantastic music from Lena Raine, Chicory!

it's an extremely well-written adventure game that despite being extremely cute and pretty funny, can get quite emotional and dark, but always feels deeply kind and caring

as far as the gameplay goes, it's pretty classic, but you also can paint the whole world as you want, which is thematically relevant and can feel pretty satisfying if you can get into it

two weeks ago, i played through The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood!

You play as Fortuna, a fortune-telling witch who has been condemned to exile without her Tarot deck after predicting her covenant's fall. After 200 years of solitude, she forms a forbidden pact with a Behemoth, which is when the game starts.

You will literally build your own cards to replace your Tarot deck, and use them for fortune telling, each card you draw giving you several possible interpretations to chose from. This is an extremely interesting approach to choices and narration, and it helped break my choice paralysis since i knew i wouldn't be completely in control! But the choices remain very important, with pretty high stakes!

The story is interesting and has a few twists, the characters are all interesting, and the writing, the pixel art and the music are absolutely phenomenal!

I'm not sure how many different routes the story has, but everything felt like a direct consequence of my choices, which is pretty impressive.

Some parts did feel a bit rushed or otherwise a bit disappointing, but it's a relatively minor thing considering the otherwise excellent writing.

In any case, I strongly recommend this game!
