@wolfgangcramer I don't know what this is supposed to do or the message it should send. Climate is too big for any individual to deal with. We don't need a reboot to "inform the public" we need a reboot on what governments thinks their jobs are. Not "do what people say/want" but "do what is right for the people." imho all of this is moot until the approach shifts away from "public"
@tiffanycli I find it hard to make a recommendation in the US as a European because of that. It's either a 5/5 and anything else is an immediate "red flag" where it absolutely shouldn't be.
@GottaLaff Feels like MTG's (or her team's) homework for this was "Tell people Trump is worse than Biden without saying bad things about Trump"

@blogdiva it's interesting because all those EULAs we generally accept without reading since we want the "thing" or "service" have us give that data away, with no "common sense" laws to protect us from that. So in a sense we consumers "allowed" this to happen, but the way our data is used went from, targeted ads to global profiling (for more ads) to AI modeling.

Note that I am sure you like apps that do this (see the defunct reddit app/spin offs) and use them.

@ned decades of hustle culture has put us here. Note that not all countries work like this, but also note that those countries have a much better social net and tougher employee protection laws: not "nicer bosses" perse.
@rands not sure if being racist, or attempting to be funny?
@amaditalks I always wonder how true these things are. But assuming that they are I guesstimate we are maybe a month away from beatings and kidnapping (of the picketers)
@[email protected] @QasimRashid as someone who is politically well informed about at least western Europe I can confirm that you are spouting nonsense. It is simply not true on key issues such as single payer insurance, immigration, national security most DNC politicians are way to the right of what's considered centrist in much of Western Europe.
@theresnotime we can safely say that until less than 10% reply with "yes" mastadon is still dead.
@QasimRashid it's crazy how far "right" the "left" is. If you look at a western scale for far left and far right the US in particular leans so far to the right ... and it's so normalized which is the scary part. "Keep people alive" "Equal rights for all people" is socialism?
