@hrefna two reasons in my case:

1) the term cutesifies neurodiverse conditions that often require genuine accommodation, and it's generally used by people who have the socially acceptable "teehee I'm so quirky" sort of neurodivergence rather than the "the world is too loud and I'm melting down and nonverbal and ugly-crying" type

2) the use of "spicy" to mean "exotic or nonstandard" has some pretty deep racist connotations
