I love when I put in my AirPods, click the stem to presumably start playing from the phone in my pocket, and instead, music begins playing on my Mac in the next room…

which I've told it NOT to auto-connect to…

and it plays through the computer's speakers, not even through the AirPods!

(I wish there was a global setting to tell a pair of AirPods, “Always reconnect to the last-used device. Never ever ever automatically switch.”)

@tomstoneham I think Apples private relay only works with Safari right now, not Firefox etc. Non browser traffic is also not included? … Depends on user needs I guess.

Proton has two hop on their premium plans and works for most if not all internet traffic. I use both (or nothing) depending on what I am doing at the time. I don’t trust either (or other VPNs) for complete privacy or being anonymous.

@JamesBaker @jeffjarvis Good to bust the algorithms that mess with people’s minds. Probably needs to be done directly with companies concerned. Facebook, TikTok etc. Not the fault of VPNS?

@tomstoneham agree. Isn’t AppleRelay an early step into VPN? In the addition the new e2ee Apple seems promising? Of course, how do you trust big tech with an end point VPN?

Earlier today Elon Musk said that my ban was temporary, 45 min later he denied my appeal to reinstate my account and confirmed that I am *permanently* banned. The email I just received says the decision cannot be reversed.
I have never once violated Twitters rules or terms of service. I’ve never had a single tweet flagged, my account was permanently banned with no warning and with no reason, after I reached out to Musk for comment.
