I'm a python programmer I like to run, mess with 3D printers and openscad, sometimes I even make videos out of that.

It’s been a tough couple of years.

I’m making a replacement wheel for a foldable hand truck, but the part I got so far looks less like a rim assembly and more like an elaborate gear from the time of industrial revolution.

“We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.” JFK
@nev This may work as a temporary solution: go to a dollar store and buy cheap gloves with at least 50% synthetic. Cut off the fingers at the very ends. Burn off end threads with a lighter. They will last for a surprisingly long time.
the city paved Taylor creek park. good. i no longer have to cycle on loose gravel with a bike with laughably narrow tires

Ok i get it, its small and charming, and keyboard is not too cramped. And when running linux it can actually perform useful work, as long as I dont open a browser. lol. 2Gb of ram is a limitation.

i just keep trying to poke my fingers at the screen, because it’s so underpowered it reminds me of my ipad

I just published my holder design for SKR 1.4 Turbo board for mirrored Bear Upgrade. Although this would work in non-mirrored setup, or any setup that has 2040 aluminium rail and needs to have board with SKR 1.4 dimensions mounted to it.

I've been testing this design my 3D printer running with that board for so long, I forgot I had it in drafts.

I made a fix for an old, very simple tripod that was given to me as a gift, so it has special value to me.

ABS plastic just fell apart after a while: base broke about 2 years ago, and now I fixed parts of the tripod head that broke few weeks ago.

I made the fixes in #OpenScad I published it under creative commons.

There are similar fixes for the models with 20mm base, but not that fits 17.5mm.

Too bad I didn't do it in time for the repairs contest.

I hate when this happens: I change one thing on my 3d printer and an unrelated thing changes. It is tough when occam’s razor doesn’t work.
Case in point, i changed the bed surface to build tek, and for some reason print nozzle started over-extruding, I have no idea why, maybe not very good spool quality.
So I’ve spent last hour and a half getting the first layer to be perfect where the problem was somwhere else entirely.
At least this time I didn’t disassemble half of the printer. #3dprinting
