My hot take on Alien Earth about ten minutes in on the second episode:
Wendy is the Manic Pixie Dream Girl for tech trillionaire Boy Kavalier.
Not a genius-level surmise - Boy Kavalier all but says it explicitly without saying the exact term.
Let's hope they do something worthy/interesting with that dynamic as opposed to merely fulfilling the role.
When a brown shirt punches a SS officer my empathy gets a little confused. Especially when the SS guy's wife goes Cristo-Fascist ""stronger, bolder, louder, and greater than ever". Her assessment: ‘You have no idea what you have unleashed’ is harder to parse if it's a Fuentes versus Kirk beef, but I've little doubt who she thought would be subject to reprisals.
Even barring foreknowledge, there's plenty in the Trump regime who have "ideas" about what was unleashed and where to aim it.
So all this social media "platform" stuff is going to be so much harder to "defend".
Just ask for a social media app that pulls from them all and posts to them all only regarding specifications you set like: "Send this to everyone" or 'Send that to personal friends and all family except crazy Thanksgiving uncle."
It occurred to me that soon, if not already, one can just "vibe code" themselves a browser.
One could just say "Hey <name-of-AI> whip me up a browser that does X, Y, and Z." or "my typical browser."
Could use an existing spec.
