@jamesoloughlin @siracusa Paris Opéra Apple Store. Same situation, this time flanked by not one but two Mac Studios.
@jamesoloughlin @siracusa Vienna Opera Apple Store. The Mac Pro IS plugged in and powered on…..but the Mac Studio is connected to the display.

@arm61 @caseyliss @marcoarment @siracusa John’s answer kicked off a thought experiment for me, and it meant Atari gets that initial bump that the Apple II provided to the computer industry (Jobs is already at Atari, convinces Woz to come over from HP).

Does Atari aim more into the personal computer space and not just games? Do they get the meeting with Xerox at PARC?

@caseyliss I created both of my kids Google accounts and set the recovery numbers on both accounts to my own phone number (which is also the recovery number for my own account). You should be able to use your number without issue.

While asking for a phone number seems silly, having that as a recovery option for when you forget your password is so much more accessible for most people than some other, more technical, option or just not having any recovery option at all.

If you want to see something fun with #Apple App Store ads, search for “Microsoft Authenticator”. That’s the name of Microsoft’s MFA app and the default option for Office 365 users.

The first option is “Authenticator App”, which has a similar icon and UI to Microsoft’s app. The correct app is the second listing.

The fact that searching for the *exact app name* doesn’t make that app the first result is INFURIATING.

But please, let’s put more ads in the App Store. https://nileane.fr/@nileane/115745682694496757

It’s been like this since the first iOS 26 beta. This post is from the day of the WWDC announcement with a comparison next to iOS 18. https://www.threads.com/@andrewclaretech/post/DKsMP1epmA_

@viticci I can absolutely see confusion between the streaming box and the streaming service. Especially people who will think they need the box to watch the service.

I’ve definitely heard “oh I don’t need an Apple phone to watch that?” about Apple TV shows.
