Hoping doing this helps and that it can be translated to a regular road bicycle. Hoping to drop some pounds and improve my endurance & peddling power.

Leaving earlier was a big boost for commuting on the e-bike!

Never felt pressed to keep up any speed or pace. Moved at my speed(very slow) & only occasionally boosted. This kept the battery use well under 20%.

I like this because riding back home in the heat, I like the idea of using extra battery without worrying about killing the battery.

@GuyNamedBrian Will we be able to import unflashed devices that are just low powered computers with loads of ports?
If the answer is "Donald Trump" then we need a Butlerian Jihad, stat.

So I depleted the battery after hauling tail this morning because leaving late with a 16-17 mile ride to work. This left me pretty depleted when I had 10 miles left peddling back home.

The weather was nice and I benefited from it not being hot. The battery gave up about a mile and half from home. The bike, me, and the gear was HEAVY! It took quite a bit to finish. I perked up after breaking for a snack but I needed at least one or two more.

Was exhausted when getting back home.

Time to relax and watch some Baseball. I need to really keep this up for my weight, health, and to middle finger the car even when I got a bit of a rural commute. So got to leave on time tomorrow.

There is a Fediverse alternative to Substack called Ghost. It allows you to host blogs and newsletters in a very similar way to Substack, but it has much less problematic management and you can host your own Ghost-powered site if you want to.

Lots more info about Ghost in the guide at:

Would also highly recommend the article by @molly0xfff which outlines the advantages of Ghost over Substack:
