We just deployed an update (to 4.1.2) that also includes an exclusive list feature contributed by @lina - open your lists settings and you should have an option to "hide these posts from home timeline." this is for those times when you want to follow someone but they might be a little chatty or post on very specific topics, so you can keep their posts in specific lists while keeping your home timeline tidy <3. Web UI and API compatible, and tests included!
