@lunaangel It's an app platform, rather than a single app. Currently there are around 25 apps, such as feeds, forums, and projects. Anyone can make their own apps and distribute them on the platform.
@happyborg Thank you, I'll take a look at that.
@lunaangel Very few people are currently aware of Mochi, though it is only at version 0.3. The next version will almost certainly be 1.0, and useable by everyone. That'll be the time to start marketing it widely. Marketing isn't something I'm particularly good at, but I'll do what I can.
@pancsta No, they're completely unrelated. It appears that github.com/mochilang/mochi didn't exist until May 2025, which is over a year after I started Mochi in March 2024.

Mochi 0.3 is out. It's a federated platform for distributed apps: feeds, forums, projects, CRM, wikis, git hosting, and P2P chess/Go/word games. Anyone can run their own server. Anyone can create and publish apps.

0.3 brings full app sandboxing, a new Projects (kanban/ticket system) app, CRM app, git repository hosting, AI tagging and scoring for feeds and forums, and hundreds of smaller improvements.

Would anyone have a spare lobste.rs invite?

@happyborg It's web based, so your home server needs to be online for you to access your data. Communication between servers is queued for up to a week if the remote server is offline.
@dantescanline That's very strange. I can't reproduce this at all. Did you get it on https://mochi-os.org/ itself, or some other URL in the same domain?
Mochi

Mochi is the modern web operating system.

Thank you, those who have checked the link. It's early days yet! I've just uploaded a very basic landing page explaining what Mochi is. Please take a look now, and let me know if you still get authentication errors.
