Nison-in (二尊院) is named after its two statues: Shaka Nyorai (釈迦如来 Buddha) blesses the world's newborns, and Amida Nyorai (阿弥陀如来) greets the dead.
It's unusual for a temple to have two principal images.

@nimbledave Thank you for sharing all your hard won insights. I’ve been using Charbonnel’s 55981 but I’m going to run out and get a tube each of 55985 and Soft Black and see how I fare. Having just switched to WS73s, I think I’ll try to resist another plate switch and recalibration for now.

@nimbledave What ink/modifiers have you settled on? I’ve recently switched to WS73 which seems to have much more plate tone than KM43.

The fireworks appeared to be coming from Pier 27 were many fancifully dressed people were arriving earlier this evening for what appeared to be a 50th anniversary celebration for Computers & Structures, Inc.

@lahosken The 10th digit of the VIN indicates the model year. The VIN should be visible through the windshield on the driver’s side of the dashboard. Well, assuming they don’t have a swastika flag draped over the dashboard…
