Got back in the darkroom at Harvey Milk Photo Center after a half century hiatus. (Well, maybe only 49 years and it was just called 50 Scott Street then…) Prints of Harvey and Scott Smith at Castro Camera seemed like a fitting way to resume. The occasion was a pie for Scott’s 27th birthday. Bette from Mendel’s Far Out Fabrics on Haight Street was there too. I was trying to recall why Bette was there when I realized I can’t recall why I was.
