HazelnootHi friends! Does anyone have recommendations for a self-hosted media gallery tool? I've tried a few but nothing has quite worked out.
My main requirements:
- Support for private / authenticated access (rules out MediaGoblin, PiGallery2, and Omeka)
- No AI garbage (rules out PhotoPrism, LibrePhotos, Immich, and HomeGallery)
- Documented API (rules out Lychee and Pellicola)
- Database is Postgres, SQLite, or something embedded (Rules out Piwigo)
- Ability to upload through the web UI (rules out Jellyfin, Thumbsup, Damselfly, Sigal, and SPIS)
- Open-source w/o weird licensing (rules out NextCloud, Ente, and Chevereto)
- Actively maintained (rules out Coppermine and Zenphoto)
- Support for adding and searching metadata
