@EUCommission US could never

@verge at this point it feels like everyone who can tries to squeeze the last pennies out of consumers - no regard if it is a supermarket, a streaming service or restaurants.

Prices and inflation supposedly are going down yet everything stays or gets more pricey.

Oben drauf ist auch Facebook geflogen. Hatte da noch ewig meinen Account, sehe das ganze aber irgendwie nicht mehr als Sinnvoll.

@beep When I was in London and saw an Amazon Fresh store I had to test it - and I was amazed on how they did it.

Now that I know - meh, bit disappointed.

Nachdem ich meinen Twitter-Account gelöscht habe und eine zeitlang Bluesky ausprobiert habe bin ich doch wieder hier. #malschauenwaswird

Dear #Mastodon pros - how exactly is the "Trending now" feature working?

I feel like 99% of times those trends are super irrelevant and don't really interest me.

Anything on my end I can do to improve this?

My shot about #Threads

- They track tons of data
- The application is very slick right now
- Important features like hashtags or trends are missing
- Fediverse support is coming soon (looking forward for that)
- Integration with Instagram is pretty slick (I was able to follow all content creators / friends from IG instantly)
- Tons of users already on there

I think when the Fediverse support is there this will bring Mastodon a ton of value too.

@lo2lo2a82 @Mastodon

Yeah - your Threads account is your Instagram account (so they are one and the same as far as I understand) so it's obvious you can't really delete the account.

But there are still a lot of features missing on Threads so I could imagine some kind of profile deletion mechanic will come in the future.

@Mastodon it was obvious that Threads will be a data kraken but I still enjoy that they are pushing the fediverse with their inclusion of pubsub.

I gave Threads a shot this morning and I must say for now the community is pretty nice and the overall simplicity of the app feels good.

As soon as Pubsub is integrated I'll make the switch completely to mastodon and follow people on Threads.
