Moritz HeiberEugen did Mastodon such a service by closing down mastodon.social's registration earlier last week. People where piling in thinking "just another Twitter", while now they suddenly are confronted with the concept of federating and decentralization head on.
Brilliant, albeit probably accidental (or not!)
