I think it's time to refresh the resume and start looking around at other options again. I just need to figure out if I want to continue with automation or if I should look to pivot to an actual dev role. Hmmm.

Classic solution-in-search-of-a-problem situation here. Like, the company behind these can't actually be surprised, right?

And their statement makes zero sense. Like the vehicle owner definitely has physical access to the vehicle and plates. And somehow I don't think "it would be illegal" matters much when the whole purpose of jailbreaking it would be to evade the law...

Hackers Can Jailbreak Digital License Plates to Make Others Pay Their Tolls and Tickets

Digital license plates sold by Reviver, already legal to buy in some states and drive with nationwide, can be hacked by their owners to evade traffic regulations or even law enforcement surveillance.

Seems like there's a black hole located inside the St Louis USPS distribution center.
I finally got the title insurance documents for my house today. I closed at the end of July...
It's also not over yet so we'll see how I feel once I'm through with it lol
In the midst of my first experience dealing with customs clearance/import duties for a shipment and so far it's been simultaneously easier and more complicated than I would have expected?

Today's internal crisis: Pronouncing 'address'.

A couple days ago, I was giving a demo of some tests I had written (with 'address' used many times), and realized halfway through that I was constantly flipping which syllable got the emphasis and immediately became super self conscious about it but carried on because I didn't want people to notice I had noticed and changed to being consistent about it.

I was looking back at the tests this morning and realized I even was doing it internally while reading them to myself. I then noticed that my pronunciation was following the capitalization of the word, rather than the form of the word. I emphasized the first syllable if it was written 'Address', and the second syllable if it was 'address'.

And now I'm terrified of the next time I have to present tests with a buch of addresses...

I put my house on the market not even a month ago. Got an amazing offer with a fast close, so we just closed yesterday. As soon as the storage container gets picked up today, I'll be hitting the road back up to Ohio with my dad, who came down to help pack up the big stuff.

I can't say I'll miss Texas, but I will miss the friends I've made down here. Hopefully we'll run into each other at future cons!

It was just time for me to move back closer to family and friends in Ohio. Perhaps even past due.

Is Southwest trying something different at love field with the departure listings? There's three different destinations listed with my flight number, same gate and boarding time. Apparently those are the destinations the flight continues to after mine. Have I just never looked close enough before?

I don't like it. It's confusing.

Has any company ever used the same performance review tool for two consecutive years?
