Was going through some stuff here and came across some of my college textbooks. Scary to think that theoretically all that info is buried deep in my brain somewhere. No way would I be able to recollect much of it at all anymore.

Also, I suppose college students these days don't have to deal with this anymore? Are all their textbooks digital by now?

Last week/weekend when it was 110 degrees, this seemed at least somewhat reasonable. They've been blaming the heat wave for repeated requests for conservation over the past couple months.

So why is this required today? Highs are just in the mid-90s this week. If the issue truly was the heat wave, then there should be no issue finding enough generation for today, with a peak demand nearly 10k MW less than we were seeing just a few days ago.
