#Mastadon seems cool but I find having to use a different account for each instance and having to open multiple tabs to check posts in the instances a bit of a pain. Perhaps centralised is the way to go for social media. Separating people is a bad first step when trying to connect them.

Currently torn about discord. I'm aware the client does background data mining which really rather bothers me, but I've gotten used to having it and also use it to communicate with a team of developers I work with on an open source project.

tl;dr I want to remove discord but I'm morally inconsistent here convenience is a factor.

Genuine question. When and why did people start making white websites? I've just installed dark themes for various sites like youtube and they are not only much easier on the eyes but look a lot better too! It's odd how so many successful websites don't realise that their site is actually an ugly eye sore.
