This past year and a half has been horrible, burning a lot of bridges, loosing a lot of close friends, discovering that I'm autistic... If it wasn't because of my roommates and the wonderful little family we have created at our flat I don't know what I would do. I love them with all my heart β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
The amount of stress and pain smartphones cause me is unreal. In my generation people started getting smartphones around the age of 13-14, I was given the option to get one and I refused until I was 16 and I was kind of forced to get one. Since I got that first phone I feel like I'm trapped in this anxiety hell that I can't escape. I can't escape it because society has gotten used to it and now it's expected to be a crucial aspect for socialising (amongst other things). I was much happier before
Can't keep up with messages, I just can't. This year my social circle has expanded but as a result I've lost contact with many of my closest friends because they are online and it's so exhausting for me to answer messages that I have even gotten anxiety attacks out of it.
Today I'm going to hang out in person with two of those friends, I'm happy to see them but at the same time I'm going to feel so sad when things are not the way they used to be...

It's fascinating the amount of neurodivergent and asexual people inside the BDSM community. I also feel like that's why there's a huge division between these highly sexual BDSM events and other BDSM events where it's like "we are going to eat cake and play board games".
Although these elements might not be compatible on the surface once you start digging into them, it makes a ton of sense that Neurodivergents and Asexuals are drawn to this community.
I'm having problems adding Alt texts, I don't know if it's a common issue or if it's just me but once in a while Mastodon is like "nope, you are not adding Alt texts today" and I don't know why. If you see any of my posts without Alt texts just bare in mind that I'll edit the post and add them whenever Mastodon lets me
