Why is Mastodon the best social medium in 2026?
Picture 1: If I share a post with some objectively good news, it gets 97 boosts and 140 likes.
Picture 2: If I share the same post on Threads, it gets zero interactions — zero! — because it contains a link to the competing social medium YouTube, and on Threads, Mark Zuckerberg has decided that the algorithm should not promote such content.
Threads is where the rich decide what we can talk about.
On Mastodon, we decide.
The more I think about it, the more I feel like there has never been more need to have a lawyer in the call.
AI is feeding people with a lot information that is presented very easy to understand and this shifts a lot of nuance especially around legal terms like under the surface.
I think AI should not take legal jobs, but create a need for more legal jobs.

It is something, but from all the issues Windows has I can’t see the list here to hit any of them. May be the removal of AI from notepad and paint. But still. In this day and age to brag that you are giving users the option to move their taskbar… this is ridiculous…
"[A] recent survey of 5,000 white-collar US workers found that 40% of non-managers say AI saves them no time at all at work, while 92% of high-level executives say it makes them more productive."
Good insight into which jobs can be safely automated.
