Unfortunate place for a wasps nest.

Mileva Marić Einstein was a physicist born in Serbia in 1875.

We remember her husband, Albert Einstein, as one of the most celebrated physicists of the 20th century, but I suspect most folks haven’t heard of her.

However, Albert & Mileva’s letters & other accounts suggest they worked together on his groundbreaking scientific contributions. They collaborated from the time they met in 1896 until their separation in 1914.

This is her story: https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/the-forgotten-life-of-einsteins-first-wife/?fbclid=IwAR2O8bwlDiEBgJLYbjKo-Kdy_3jhi7tvyCl2edzpzpI_pIcPv7iVOc1zC-E #science #history #HistoryRemix

She was a physicist, too—and there is evidence that she contributed significantly to his groundbreaking science

@bobmueller Yes, the doors to the roof of both towers were locked and people were not able to access the roof. My understanding is that after the parking basement bombing years ago when many were rescued from the roof, NYPD was instructed NOT to rescue people from the roofs by helicopter.

Just a reminder that yesterday four Republicans in the West Virginia legislature introduced a bill that would make being openly trans in the presence of a minor child a felony punished by five years in prison.

There are 10 phases to a genocide. This puts the US at phase 6.

Summary of 2023 Republican Agenda:

-Immigration: Ban it
-LGBTQ books: Ban it
-Contraceptives: Ban it
-Dialogue on racism: Ban it

@bobmueller
well it was years ago, but she helped arrange and pay for several busses that brought RW people to the capitol. The ones Trump did not want screened for guns.
@bobmueller Sorry I am new to Mastodon, I may have cross posted in some way.
@rbreich : His marriage partner supposedly paid for several of the busses to transport the mob to the capitol. Am I wrong!
@bykenarmstrong, NYPD, the agency that could not rescue people from the two towers because the exits were locked and they were instructed NOT to RESCUE people there!
"He defended the NYPD in court. Then they arrested him." This story, by Jake Pearson, confronts, head-on, the contradictions of an individual lawyer while telling a broader (and blistering) story about the NYPD and the legal unit that represents them. It's one hell of a read.

He Defended the NYPD in Court. Then They Arrested Him.

For 11 years, Karl Ashanti represented New York City cops in civil-rights cases. Then he was charged with a crime he didn’t commit.
