Heya, Mastodon. I have a new song out that I wrote for my beautiful friend Alli, who passed away last month.

It would mean the world to me if you took a pause in your day to give this a listen and be part of Alli’s memory. šŸ’“

Welcome to the arsenal, lil fella

It’s the first day of #fawm ! I wrote a song I’m really proud of, about subject matter I’ve really struggled to articulate in my art. Hear the song & read more about it here: https://write.fawm.org/songs/281176

A full performance of this song plus a download of the voice memo are up on my Patreon!

First song of FAWM 2024, let's gooooo!!

New song ā€œUnforgivableā€ drops on Bandcamp next Friday!
I was saving my songwriting energy for #fawm but the stars aligned and my local bestie came over and we wrote our first song of 2024.

Day 4 of recording the acoustic album! I cut a near perfect take and then realized my guitar mic wasn’t recording, ayyyyy! What can ya do.

Happy release day to me!!

ā€œHurry Up & Waitā€ is about my frustration with American healthcare, specifically with trying to get approved for disability. It’s been a 2-year slog of applying, being denied, appealing, and not hearing anything for months in between letters requesting immediate information.

Everlasting thanks to my mentor, the king of engineering himself, @hilljam!!

Day 3 of recording this 2-part acoustic album! 8 songs down, 12 to go šŸ˜…

Absolutely not. Mastering is a magnificent dark art, not a means to an end. Engineers like @hilljam put DECADES of work into ear training so they can fine tune a mix into not just something crisp and professional, but also something that is INTERESTING, that preserves the personality of the song & its artist.
