Wannabe writer of books
He/Him They/Them

Rapidly aging/disabled nemesis of jacket potatoes everywhere.

Nano is behind on wordcount, but I have had two major plot breakthroughs this week. Details need to be ironed out but I think I have a story.

I'm forgiving myself for falling behind because I feel like the progress has been huge regardless.

Sorry I'm not interacting much. I have very little energy and most of it is going into writing and trying to do the necessary research. Which because of the fibrofog, sometimes means checking even obvious words in the dictionary.

I have no idea what I'm doing, because I'm totally new to this platform, but I guess I'll just do a basic #introduction?

I'm Clara Coulson, author of #urbanfantasy novels. My best-known series (and I use that term loosely) is City of Crows, followed by The Frost Arcana.

I also publish under the name A.J. Burnes.

I enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and various subgenres of nonfiction. I also love art, and I'm currently learning to draw (not very well).

If you're a reader, author, or artist, let me know! I want to follow more people on this platform.

#indroduction post! I’m a Aussie fantasy author living in the UK. Keen to chat books & writing, post silly photos of my cats and general shenanigans

'We have now solved the mystery of Rose Yapp nee Smith, my grandmother and once we have consolidated all the facts it will be published in the website hopefully I will give a link from this page.'

Ahhhhhh! Don't leave me in suspense like that. I couldn't even find evidence of my great-grandmother existing let alone anything about her.

@sooperdooper

I find word goals actually motivate me on days when writing feels tough, but I do need an external push for it to really help, something like Nanowrimo. Writing everyday is something I am learning is probably the most useful advice I've found yet for motivation.

I don't think I could leave a sentence midway through. I know I'd forget what it was supposed to be and it'd just leave me frustrated šŸ˜†

Hey, if you want to be "verified" on the fediverse as being _actually you_, you don't need some third party to verify you or to check some list.

Got a domain you own, that's obvs you?

Paste `<a rel="me" href="https://your.server/@your_username">Mastodon</a>`into the html on that domain, add that domain to your profile links, bam, verified at least as comprehensively as a lot of folks on birdsite.

If this seems hard, I will help you! You can verify yourself, promise!

(boosts for reach a-ok)

Hi everyone! I’m still confused about how this all works but I’m confused over here now! Would love to follow some fellow #horror and #sff writers! 😊
@charleywrites
Aww. He looks lovely.

Last time I posted about one of my hairy kids it was a sad post, So this time I am sharing a photo of my overly exuberant German Shepherd.

This is Kai, he's 9 years old, is a menace near water and a rescue I've had since he was about 11 -12 weeks old (taken from his mum too early so now I'm his dad-mum).

In return, he lays on my keyboard when I'm trying to type.

Some wonderful peeps from the #WritingCommunity have reminded me of a very important thing that I want to share.

If you #write, you are a #writer. If you produce finished works, regardless of #publishing, you are an #author.

If you are "aspiring," take it out of your profile. You are already #writing. You are already doing it!
