Texas is not the only state where anti-renewable policy can harm rural economic development, make energy more expensive, and increase carbon pollution.

It is critical that state and local policy be aligned with to accelerate the clean energy transition.

The youth led group Students for Sustainability Omaha hosted a #ClimateStrike and I was glad to stand alongside them in calling for accountability on #ClimateAction pledges.

Leaders of tomorrow are making their voices heard today. We owe them the respect of listening to what they want for their future.

I am proud to be voted by my colleagues to serve as Chair of the Board at Omaha Public Power District.
