@j2dumfounded @GrayRabbit @CastleGrandma I brush her a lot because she gets matted. Can’t see it well in this picture but she is kind of bald on her backside and the top of her head. The white streak on top of the head is just a tuft of fur.

She looks kind of comical tbh.

She was bald when I got her because of a very bad skin infection. Several months later and Voila!

Read an interesting article recently discussing the fact that some DNA tests are unreliable. I used Wisdom panel which has a better track record.

She’s only 10 pounds. The only part that is Pit is her tail which is always wagging!

@NPR_USNews As a small animal vet, this checks out. But is “blame” really the right way to frame this. The “blame” lies in the low pay and dangerous work of farm animal vets. Also farm animal vet care is less humane than small animal. The career path is not attractive when humane treatment of animals is a priority.
