2025 has shown that some people would rather be dumb than ask uncomfortable questions, and I am afraid of them. They will discard their humanity in a heartbeat if it meant they might get a few extra dollars every week.

I created this account to let loose because don't we all need a place to scream at the top of our lungs.

"Industry leading" means done cheap enough to work 80% of the time.

You scream
I scream
We all scream
This is our life now

@thomasfuchs Whenever I see AI boosters go on (and on) about how fast they write code I think about how the most productive I’ve ever seen a developer be is when they painstakingly convinced their PM that the requested software was unnecessary and nobody wanted it.

It seems like there are more and more bugs popping up in the proprietary software my employer created (partially with LLM tools) for their day to day work. This is the price you get for using LLMs as if they actually care about quality.

It seems the faster you go the more you break, and the more you break the more it slows you down.

In an ideal world, I hope I would never vote for someone who is wealthier than I could ever aspire to be.

Becoming wealthy, in my opinion, is a situation where a person has decided that they can never have too much. They have allowed their greed to make major life decisions.

We started a new project at work, and it is a mess.

The tickets are all over the place, and I am not sure where to start. It is clear it was put together by someone who either rushed things or didn't care to attempt to organize things and get all the details.

I wish people would stop using facebook. It is such garbage.
It has become apparent that in a quest to become ridiculously wealthy and powerful, people lose their humanity and lower themselves to the level of vermin. They infect civilization with a strife that subjugates an untold number of communities to unnecessary hardships while propping up a facade of progress.

On September 4, Putin killed two employees of the Danish Refugee Council, an NGO which has begun clearing mines in Chernihiv, north of Kyiv. 8 where wounded, and have since recovered.

This area was far from the frontlines, but was littered with mines from 2022, which could potentially kill civilians. But of course, preventing the death of civilians is not approved by The Kremlin.

There is a bottle of champagne in my fridge, ready to celebrate Putin’s downfall.

How AI infrastructure is driving a sharp rise in electricity bills

Electricity bills are climbing nationwide, rising faster than inflation in many places. The explosive growth of AI and the massive data centers behind it are driving demand and straining the grid. To explain how this hits consumers, and what can be done, Geoff Bennett spoke with Ari Peskoe, director of the Electricity Law Initiative at Harvard Law School.
