At request my grandfather gave me: On war. At age 12½ for Christmas.

Guess the analysts views the ability for the Russians to regenerate their Army differently.

Russian military ‘almost completely reconstituted,’ US official says

The assessment from Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell appears to contradict that of the Pentagon and U.S. allies.

@SocraticEthics Its obvious she is talking in past sense aka she talks about CAESAR. As Anders say the international press got it wrong and misunderstod her. If altinget.dk is correct there is a cant export clause in the contract on buying the Atmos and Puls systems. Så we couldn't pass them on to UA even if we wanted to. Not that is matters as we haven't received more than 3 Puls systems so far and they aren't ready IE not road worthy. Another idiot buy by FMI that was in a hurry........
Russia has a year's head start on the realization that the war in Ukraine will take a long time. In Ukraine and the West there were very big hopes invested in the summer offensive, and I largely see the current debate about war fatigue as an expression of the renegotiation that must take place in light of the disappointing results.

Forget about war fatigue: It will be a long war

@kallekn Correct it was the essay. Danish, sorry i had no potatoes at home. Had to do it in another language. 😛

Valerii Zaluzhnyi did an interview with the economist. Here is a link tot a PDF file of the full interview. Longer than the version in the magazine.

What I have noticed most about Russia's reaction to the war between Israel and Hamas is that they use it as a tool in the domestic media space. They are covering it intensely, and it's a story that fits the Russian propaganda machine perfectly: Ostensibly important but also drawing attention away from anything that can politicize the population. It's a perfect distraction from the war in Ukraine.

@VikingChieftain @anderspuck Enig.
