DN71 Rover - Sat, POTA, County Hunters, State QSO Parties. ARES DEC, Winlink regular

Been hanging out in the lower part of the bands lately. I have been activating K3Y/7 for SKM. Lots of fun for a CW newbie like me.

New grid on satellite. Made it to 550 grids. Thanks to N5UC for the cold grid of BQ30!
Nice day in the Front Range for a little #pota 3 park rove. The cool thing about these parks was that I was in sight of the WWV towers almost the entire trip. US-10532, US-11941, US-11924.
Hanging out on 17m FT8. Come and Get Wyoming.
If you are at all interested in Contest Roving, and you are anywhere near the middle of the US on Aug 24/25, might I suggest that you think about signing up to be a 1x1 station for the KS QSO Party. I have traveled to KS from WY the last 4 years (going to miss 2024) to participate, and I can't recommend it enough. Bob - W0BH runs a very efficient and helpful organization. Plus it is a BIG QSO Party, so you will make lots of contacts. https://www.ksqsoparty.org/ Give it a shot, it is a fun time.

One minor complaint that I have with #pota is that everyone congregates on 20m. Some times it is hard to find room there to activate. It would be nice if there were some additional awards for different bands to try to spread the wealth between bands. And I just looked up my statics, and it is clear that I am part of the problem. My goal for this summer is to boost my #anythingbut20m numbers. I added to my 17m totals this morning. Tough conditions at US-4403, but nice to be in the woods.
Well look what showed up. Good weekend on the road for 7QP and adding some new parks.
Well look at that. Isn't that a pretty map. Thanks to @N6UA I have completed all 488 Maidenhead grids in CONUS. Thank you Doug for all of the grids and to many others @wd9ewk @n6utc for the grids over the years. Safe travels to Doug, and go get another Gridmaster for KE8FZT tomorrow.
All confirmed. And then there was one. #Gridmaster

A huge shout out to Jerry - W8LR for traveling to EM97 just to get me grid #487 of 488. I have my problems with @AMSAT the cooperation, but the Satellite radio community is great. Weather conditions for the pass were a bit fun, but well worth the effort.

Thanks Jerry!
