Some things I'm into:
#books (I read a bunch of them, publish a few)
organically propelled boats
#ham radio
Python
homebrew electronics. Radios , micro-controllers, melting solder

Ham radio stuff:
I like #QRP #MorseCode and that's 95% of my operating.
Interested in digital communication modes
POTA, SOTA, NAQCC, SKCC

Radios I use:
#FT-817 ND
LNR MTR-4B v2 (won in NAQCC drawing!)
QDX

on the shelf:
μBitx (lots of hacking to do)
Ten-Tec 544
Foxx-3 (need to get it away from BCI and try)

@TronNerd82 This needs a time axis. Starting on Linux 10 years ago and 25 years ago were completely different things. And Linux didn't exist until 1991, and would have been a really limiting daily driver for many years after. Does CP/M count as proprietary b******t?
@dl4mat @KC8JC Doom emacs defaults to evil mode. I've managed to go a long time on it without learning any of those arthritis-aggravating emacs command combos. For editing I'll open vim/nvim, but org-roam is a wonderful thing.

@field94Mop I'll clean it up, consolidate it into one file, and de-crud some of the early parts of it and put it up. Probably be next week.

The letter-hunting part is going to be of interest only to QRP CW ops for the NAQCC challenges (https://naqcc.info/challenges.html), I expect. Are there any other ham games that involve collecting callsign letters?

@unicycle Hmm, there's an idea. Wouldn't be hard at all to strip it down to just those fields and see if it won't run in #Termux on my phone without having to turn it into a GUI or anything.
@ajh That's what worries me. I really do get pleasure out of the tactile bits of spinning the dial and so forth. Hook the computer directly to the rig and I might as well run digital modes. Which I've dabbled in, but I'm inclined to use a different rig dedicated to that so as not to further adulterate my CW.

@unicycle I missed the old linear POTA view. The card-style view is impossible to scan. To tighten it up a bit more, there's a section that abbreviates park names on the fly.

I should clean it up and make it available to the other three people who would find it useful.

I like banging out #MorseCode with a straight key and logging on paper, but #POTA and #SOTA hunting pretty much require a computer for the spots.

So I wrote a #python script to filter data from the API to just CW. Then I color coded for new parks and QRT, then added SOTA. Recently I got crazy and had it ID letters I needed for the #NAQCC challenge. I should stop before I create a logger.

@K4NE Did you figure it out? Wonder if the intermittency is related to load. I had one fail that would work if I pulled the graphics card out, which I did while I waited for the replacement to arrive.
