@w8emv I posted a video of me doing a CW POTA activation to YouTube. Apparently you can do CW on CB now?

@rombat @W1RCP I’ve seen those, and they look great. They’re a bit pricey compared to 3D printing, though. But you wouldn’t have to worry about it melting in the desert sun. :)

If you have the FT-891 and you haven’t done this easy mod, now is the time.

I spent eight hours doing what???? Thirty seconds of animation of Johnathan Kanye’s 3D printed paddles. I’m making about a half dozen of them. The how-to video will post late February.

The #Hamcation ticket is purchased! Who’s going? I plan on hanging out at the #pota tent. Also, http://gaparks.org and http://alparks.org

@N1ZZZ yeah, after the latest hikes and QST not being relevant to me, I’ve decided to let my membership lapse. It’s too expensive and offers no amount of benefits, and anything that their magazine offers can be found with a simple web search.
@G0TRT my radio is in a waterproof box similar to a Pelican case. It’ll float if I capsize or sink. If that does happen, the radio is the least of my worries lol.
@w8tam dang dude. 900. I just passed 200, but that’s super incredible for having family, kids, and work. Here’s to you getting an ultimate kilo :)
@W0ABE I rotated it at each stop. Sometimes it was up and sometimes down. Worked like a charm even without the cable.
Here’s my first post on Mastodon. This was my somewhat portable setup for a five park #POTA rove via boat. Every stop included a boat ride down either the Suwannee or Alapaha rivers. This is about the only time of year you can fit a 16 foot Jon boat in there because the water level is very high.
