Hey so I’ve heard some stuff about my current instance on here that’s pushed me to find a new home on @Gazimoff’s place! I’ve never moved before so hopefully it’s seamless and you won’t even notice the change. But if anything goes wonky, that’s why. 🤔
All the #plants that needed repotting finally got repotted today! #HousePlants #HousePlantsOfMastodon #Pilea #RubberTreePlant #AfricanViolet
You can also get a rotisserie chicken/roast a chicken and use the carcass to make stock then the meat to make soup, but I didn’t have that level of ambition today. The Instant Pot can make stock super fast though!
Made #soup for a sick friend today. I never use a recipe anymore, it’s basically: dice an onion, celery, carrots, mince garlic. Heat up olive oil, get some on you. Add everything, incl kosher salt. I add dry herbs (today Scarborough Fair, summer savoury, poultry seasoning). Sauté til it’s soft. Add stock (homemade if you have it, but store bought is fine) and diced rotisserie chicken meat. More salt, soup noodles. Simmer until they’re tender. Add fresh parsley, sliced scallions.
Today’s #OOTD for the farmers market with my sidekick. It was so nice of the lighting to hit all of my grey hair and light it up like that 😂 this WAS my outfit until I started making soup and got olive oil on myself 🤦🏻‍♀️
@orkchop Hi Ork! It’s nice to see you! /waves frantically

Threat Assessment

You have the world's lamest superpower. While other people were gifted with flight, laser vision, and magic, you got "threat assessment". At least that's what you call it. It's not like you're going to tell anybody else about it.

You're a unique power is the ability to see how dangerous someone is. This knowledge appears, only to you, as a number floating over their heads.

Look at a baby, you'll see a one. An average adult, a three. A Marine? Usually a five or a six. (1/).

@stoppableforce Hey Stop! I don’t know why I didn’t know you were here/active before now, but it’s nice to see you!

I spent the day with my stylist friend getting a new wardrobe. It’s a privilege to be able to afford to hire her and buy new stuff but damn, I always feel like a million bucks after and I wear the clothes for ages. I still have some from the first time (2012). That’s slow fashion, haha.

Also shopping piecemeal online during the pandemic after I’d lost 30 lbs sucked. I’ve never had a cohesive wardrobe that fit.

After a lot of talks and apologizing yesterday, today’s school drop off went very well. P3 told me a story about a tunnel boring machine the whole way there and we hugged and kissed and exchanged love yous. A much better beginning to the day. 🥹
