I tried a couple of android, windows apps, and online rendering sites. They all have their different UI's of course. Most have speed issues. In the end I use vim with syntax highlighting because I've got a thing for the home row. I am sure you understand. When I was showing a friend how simple the syntax was he was mostly put off by the fact he had never pulled up a simple text editor before. And I'd guess 99% of casual users believe MS Word *is* a text editor.

Indeed the docs and the Big Fish script are great examples. I'll further a comfortable entry into the "look" of plain text scripts in Fountain, and in general. The syntax itself is almost transparent (good!) But a lot of writers might resent their rows of handy format buttons being taken away and learning a new set of "rules." Passive reading of varied script examples lifts this hesitation to exchange familiar bells and whistles (UI) for a markup language--simple as it may be.
