Fight Chat Control. Protect privacy and tell your MEPs that shoddy and invasive privacy breaches in the name of safety will most likely fail to adress both privacy and safety. We're getting really good data on the failure of a comparable law in the UK right now.

Dear #EU 🇪🇺 citizens: Renewed efforts are made to re-introduce an even more stringent #ChatControl to spy on our online lives. All in the name of safety. But we all know it is about control. No matter if your data is securely saved, it will be used by whoever owns it.

A regime change like in some former democracies (e.g. USA), a data leak through a hack or human error, or even an opinion on basic human rights (UK,DE,NL), are all it takes to suddenly make the lives of you and yours miserable or put it in danger.

Sign petitions, contact your #MEPs. But the most passive way to participate in activism that is still effective, is to please vote for #progressive parties who are opposed to Chat Control and have a decent understanding of #IT (security) and the digital services.

Avoid #conservatives and any party that has moved up to the right in the political spectrum.
They moved, because they are infiltrated, indoctrinated and straight up bought by the same corporations and organizations who are supposed to be kept in check in the European market.
These parties also either have f-all knowledge of IT (security) and should not be the ones deciding policies on it. Or in rare cases, actually possesses the knowledge, and use it to introduce policies with malicious intent.
