Definitely a best yet for holiday dessert presentation.
Lemon curd pudding by me and mint truffle by my husband. Both vegan. Both delicious.
Today's mocktail was a cranberry mojito with real cranberry jelly.
Yes, we did have an abundance of mint.

Today's Christmas Eve mocktail is sort of a Pina colada with pineapple juice and coconut, but also a little bit of passion, guava,and orange juice as well. I'd hoped for cocoa or something wassail like, but the weather decided to get down right tropical this week.

I've never been a big drinker, but this year we decided to cut alcohol entirely as part of our plan to age as healthily as we can. Oddly, I was never a big fan of mixed drinks, but I've been leaning heavily into mocktails this year. Pictures below: some sort of club soda/apple drink with cinnamon sugar on the rim. I'll work on making them prettier as I go.

It is just so fortunate that my stinky little girl came with a name that rhymes with smell. It makes singing goofy songs about her so much easier.

These tarts turned out so good I want to share. Basically, I took 3 apples, a handful of cashews, a thumb of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and clove, and boiled it all with a bit of water until the apples and ginger were mushy. I picked out the cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks, chipped up the ginger for even distribution, and put it on squares of pastry dough. Baked for roughly 30 minutes at 409f and they are damned addictive.

I didn't bring any pencils back with me from my home trip, but I did get some free crayons at a book festival as well as a bag (which covers day 17), so here is a bear wearing a jumper being cozy while a family of squirrels wearing scarves festively play games on a seafoam patterned blanket near some flowers while a love bird tweets into a cloudy sky.
