Parent, spouse, Minnesotan, human. I like reasonable conversations with reasonable people.

I follow journalists and funny or interesting people around the world but especially MN.

Love learning new things and getting different perspectives about people and lives of others, to expand my knowledge and understanding.

Someone I know who's over 40 thinks it's totally cool to pirate paid streaming services. Are there a lot of people who do this? I don't like paying for services either but I do it if they have something I want to see. I'm so confused by the way some people think 🤔
I accidentally said “hey Shirley” instead of “hey Siri” to my phone this morning and now it is stuck in airplane mode.

A podcast is telling me every Weinermobile is staffed by two people at all times— a driver, and a customer-oriented employee who waves to kids, tells people Weinermobile facts at stops, hands out toys, etc

This employee is known to be "riding shot-bun"

BREAKING: Area Man Who Takes His 5 Year Old Son to Gun Shows Says Drag Shows Indoctrinate Children

My coworker says that I
am addicted to the virus
and I am tempted
to respond by observing
that of the two of us
he is the one
who has contracted the virus
five times
so if anything
he is the addicted one
but I am too old
for such schoolyard retorts
so instead I say nothing.
I like the idea of giving CEOs gold parachutes because I'm pretty sure metal doesn't float so well

Child Labor Laws are up for debate?

Some would seem to think so.
Sen. Rich Draheim (R) - "Eliminating work opportunities for youth just because of their age will make it even harder for businesses to find reliable employees."

So the solution to the 'pay a living wage' is not to reduce Yacht money wages - but is to instead add additional low wage earners into the pool.

This is absolutely an attempt to further divide the working and non-working classes. Sure, there are absolutely reasons a handful of people would or could want to stay home and would benefit from working. Acting as if that isn't a foundational problem in the ecosystem isn't being truthful.

We owe it to our society to allow for everyone to exist - not just the hyper wealthy.
