TW: angry rant about military, swearing, references to SA/Rape including minors.

I've been in a bit of a mental shadow recently as I wrestle (once again) with the realization that my, and many others' military service is predicated on lies. I'm not even just talking about Trump or the last decade. I'm talking about a lie that has been circling the drain since before nine unarmed kids were shot, and 4 more killed by the Ohio national guard. The military will use you as much as you let it, and if you manage to make it out alive, they will fuck you every chance they get to remind you they own you.

When leadership fucks up (I'm talking O-8s down to O-4s) they will stop at absolutely nothing to save their and their friend's appearances. Republican in congress today want to tell you transgender troops pose an exigent threat to deployed operations. Go look up the military 'courts martial docket' for any branch. You'll see a lot of young troops doing drugs and a truly disgusting amount of senior leaders (enlisted and officer) with violent sexual misconduct charges. (Solicitation of minors, rape, etc.)

To Tulsi Gabbard and Pete Hegseth from one veteran to another, you make me fucking sick the way you have sold out your brothers and sisters to glorify yourself. You can continue to degrade this country and yourselves until no one opposes you. as far as I'm concerned you can have it.

I used to believe fighting for a place where people are free to do things differently popular or unpopular. In light of recent events, That place is clearly diametrically opposed to the D.C. vision for America.
