Nobody on LinkedIn has ever had a bad day. Every setback is a "growth opportunity." Every firing is a "new chapter." Every complete professional disaster is framed as "excited to announce." These people would describe the Titanic as "a bold pivot to submarine operations."
We've been on X/Twitter for many years, but it's time to reduce our activity there and instead promote Mastodon as our main social media channel now. So we've done just that: https://x.com/LibreOffice/status/2026204949760131158 – Welcome to all our new followers here 😊

Ukraine’s fight is our fight.

Tonight, the colours of Ukraine on our headquarters stand as a reminder of the courage and resilience of its people, and the enduring pain of a war that continues, after four years.

Not just as a symbol of solidarity, but as a tribute to those who have lost their lives, and a call to redouble our efforts towards a just and lasting peace.

Europe's shared values, strength, and commitment will never waver.

Then I did what apparently nobody does. I went and read the privacy policy and terms of service.

Not LinkedIn’s. The other company’s”

@kim_harding For the "nightmare" ... @politico writes that he is saved at least in private life: "Guillou said he has been able to adapt, using brick-and-mortar shops for purchases and phoning hotels when he wants to book a room." https://www.politico.eu/article/nicolas-guillou-icc-judge-under-us-sanctions-urges-eu-leaders-to-hold-the-line-and-protect-rule-of-law/

The EU payment system already exists: #Wero - but is not yet rolled out everywhere, and #EuroPA is soon coming: https://europeanbusinessmagazine.com/business/europes-24-trillion-breakup-with-visa-and-mastercard-has-begun/ The digital EUR will start in some years, it just passed the parliament: https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/ecbs-cipollone-says-digital-euro-will-protect-european-banks-card-schemes-2026-02-18/
