I've used Linux for my whole life, but I've grown more jaded since I started working in the tech sector (I tried to avoid tech to do real work).
There are some ways to make linux more approachable, but it's still the same fundamental issue with any specialisation.
Tools, skills, etc. get complicated and we SHOULD be communal, it offloads so much burden when you don't have to do everything alone.
That means giving people grace, supporting people, and being welcoming.
I don't think everyone in the linux community needs to change, nor do I think linux needs to stay complicated.
We just need more helpful, welcoming people, and less of the dictating "I'm going to teach you in the way I learn best" and more "What way works for you to use this?" listening.
Because not everyone learns the same way, or wants to know deep technical lore.
Most people want to DO SOMETHING and like mentioned in these threads: computers are just a necessary evil to accomplishing that something.
