you *must* read the Battle of the Dildo at the Minneapolis Graduate Hotel (where ICE is lodging):

"The revolution did not arrive with speeches, pamphlets, or a carefully moderated Zoom call about optics. It arrived in a cardboard box full of clearance-bin dildos, under purple neon light." 🤣

one of the most beautiful things I've ever read

THE DILDO DISTRIBUTION DELEGATION

The revolution did not arrive with speeches, pamphlets, or a carefully moderated Zoom call about optics.

CLOSER TO THE EDGE
@h_thoreson i have very strong opinions on this so take this with a grain of salt — no, you don’t get the same ankle support, but that’s a feature not a bug. Trail runners provide many of the advantages usually associated with hiking boots (grip, a good platform, some level of cushioning) but with more focus on your stride and how you naturally move. The first time I tried them (in place of a long an well used pair of boots), they felt so natural that I felt like I could do twice the distance.
@inquiline ah, the twinkling fires of Rancho Palos Verdes kn the evening…
@viticci Strides. I looked at a few other options but this was the only one that had all the features I really want — customizable time frames so that you don’t see all habits at all times, good handling of numerical habits (for me, daily pushups, walking miles, practice time) and good support for shortcuts and AppIntent-based OS features.
@agiletortoise No, the workout interface in watchOS 26 is abominable. It’s an inexplicable huge step back from something that was quietly reliable and well-implemented.
@Catvalente If anyone wants me, I’ll be over here in the corner sobbing quietly, rocking back and forth, and holding my doggo.
@stroughtonsmith hey, I love my orange brick dearly! This is my favorite iPhone in years!
@richpuchalsky it’s almost like the kleptocracy is the point. Policies like this are a neon sign that there is literally nothing that isn’t for sale in the current government.
Good god, why is @overcastfm so terrible at playlist management? I pay for Premium for the first time, and as a reward I get a hundred 7-8 year old episodes of Radiolab preempting my actual chosen “High Priority Podcasts”. Apparently I have to delete them ONE AT A TIME. 🤦🏻‍♂️
