So let me get this straight. The Supreme Court is only supposed to take cases where there is a real injury and real controversy, but it took the case of a web designer who faked a request by a gay customer for a website design? The guy was actually straight, married and with kids?
Vacate this case.
Florida Republicans are about to strip the few remaining rights from trans citizens
HB 1421
• allows children to be kidnapped by the state
• suspends medical licenses and allows the arrest of medical professionals if they provide gender affirming care
• prevents insurance providers from covering gender clinical intervention
• passes liabilities to any physician helping minors or adults get care
The GOP stands for nothing but cruelty

This happened to us early in Rebecca’s illness: the hospital we took her to was in network (despite us being out of state), but the radiology team at that hospital was an independent group that was out of network and accepted no insurance, so no costs were reduced. Anesthesiologists apparently do the same, a lot.
It’s beyond absurd, it’s grotesque, which I admit makes it fully of a piece with the rest of the US “health care system”.
This is absurd. Woman goes into early labor, goes to an in-network hospital, but the doctors worked for an out of network hospital? So the parents are on the hook for $12K? RIDICULOUS. Please shut up forever about how cool it is to "shop for your healthcare" LITERALLY NO ONE WANTS TO DO THAT. This is "shopping for your healthcare": being wheeled into the ER and having to check to make sure EVERY PERSON is in your network. Completely impractical and ridiculous. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2023/01/30/1151778684/a-baby-spent-36-days-at-an-in-network-hospital-why-did-her-parents-get-a-huge-bi

"It remains confounding to me that a person who tried to overthrow the government, and used Facebook to help him do it, ultimately got off with a two-year time out. Especially when much more benign users, notably sex educators, are routinely given permanent suspensions. At the same time, Trump hasn’t been held accountable by the US government, either. ... We find ourselves calling on Facebook to do what prosecutors so far have not"

I'm older so I remember things. Everything you see happening today should be understood this way:
The top tax rate used to be 90% in order to prevent the really rich from destroying democracy.
The corporate tax rate was 50% because corporations exist to serve society.
AND the inheritance tax was really high to keep family dynasties from gaining power over us.
