I may be the most certified person you’ve ever met. Years of IT experience in network management and security. Recently retired from the military. Interested in using creative channels, like games, to teach cyber risk to risk owners.

Cat picture booster. Multi-craftual. Unashamed public knitter.

Did you know that ISC has TWO job openings at the moment?

We are looking for two additional engineers for the Stork team. Stork is our powerful, scaleable, easy-to-use, open source, graphical management tool for DHCP and DNS.

These are both 100% remote, work-from-home jobs (from almost anywhere in the world) and ISC is a great place to work (even if we do say so ourselves).

If you're not a bot, please apply at https://isc.recruitee.com !

“The breach contained payment card information”: Who gives a shit? Payment card data is not YOUR data. That’s the banks problem.

Date your reports. Date your blog posts. Temporal context is extremely important! It's difficult to draw conclusions from them when I have no idea when you conducted your activities and observations, and when it was published.
Today seems like a good day to do some OT threat hunting.
Pro tip: if you saw a talk or read a paper or used a git repo to help you in your research, shoot the owner an email and say thank you. It's what Mr. Rogers would have done.

I've talked to a lot of folks that want to try consulting, but don't want to go independent. This looks like a pretty cool role that would provide that opportunity.

LexisNexus' breach was disclosed just two weeks after the White House scrapped a Biden-era rule that would have *blocked* data brokers like LexisNexis from selling Americans' personal and financial data. Instead, White House official Russell Vought said the rule was "not necessary or appropriate."

The decision to reverse course comes after an industry lobby group called for the rule change to be withdrawn.

@designthinkingcomic

Is it really that bad on Nintendo Switch?

@kopio @designthinkingcomic no, but it’s not far wrong either. Too many stupid steps if the systems ‘forget’ you cause you haven’t used it in a while.
@designthinkingcomic Missing the mandatory system and/or game and/or controller updates after logging in but before starting the game.
