142 American cities. 17 years of city government voting data. One city council was a total outlier from the dataset, where dissent averaged 3x the next highest city every single year tracked.

That city? Ann Arbor, Michigan.

This is an eye opening must-read for #a2council watchers, and I'd argue, anyone who thinks about politics locally.

Anyone is welcome to use this web app at any point, it's live at https://meutch.com/ and I would love feedback from anyone. But as I think harder about getting an adequate initial network for this to get traction, I will need to focus on specific atomic networks of people who will share with each other in the same locale. The magic comes from having people to share with.

Giveaway feature is mostly done, enough that I merged to production. I put a few items there (starting with a pair of kids' snowshoes that we've never used). Feels good!

I'm not interested in the aesthetics of #solarpunk , but how to make most with the limited tools.

If the Wikipedia is getting scraped by the bots - losing money, limiting access to its resources - or allows the AI companies in and GAINS money to share more free, human-created knowledge, I'll take the latter.

I don't need to be pure.

To participate, tell everyone who will listen that if they want to use "ai" to email or Slack or whatever a message to you, they should "Just Send The Prompt".

The "ai" doesn't add anything; everything that matters has to be in the prompt, so please Just Send me that.

Add it to your email signature, "think of the environment before slopping this email; Just Send The Prompt".
