I’m back with another #Inappropriatleynamedbirds #Watercolor #Painting and today is a Rough Faced Shag. Definitely another fun one to say hehe. Since my new supplies arrived I used Sakura Micron waterproof archival pens, Canson cold press watercolor paper, and due to positive Amazon reviews I bought the Jerry Q brush set and was not disappointed!
Since I didn’t make anything new today due to my brain short circuiting, here’s my favorite assignment from my Human and Animal Form class in college. We were each assigned a picture from our class textbook to recreate as accurately as possible. I enjoyed that class immensely #Art #Anatomyart #Sketch
Just finished my next #Inappropriatleynamedbirds #Watercolor #Bird #Painting, it’s a Hoary Puffleg! Today I was using my Copic 0.5 and 0.3 waterproof fine liner pens. They are amazing for comic artists as well! Tomorrow I’m taking a break for Turkey Day, but the series will continue after the food coma.
For todays #inappropriatleynamedbirds #watercolor #painting I present a pair of Fluffy-BackedTit-Babblers. Which is just fun to say. Yesterday I was using cheap paper I was gifted, but today I used my Winsor & Newton paints on proper heavyweight cold pressed paper. I also ordered over 30 new brushes and about 5 different styles of watercolor paper. This is turning into a fun product testing project. In case anyone is wondering, I’m using waterproof Zebra brush pens for lining.
I just finished #watercolor painting inspired by my people’s Cree style today. Its a Dickcissel singing! I was experimenting with fillable watercolor brushes and my tape was ripping the edges a tad, but overall I’d call it a success. I’m loving my new Windsor & Newton travel set, now to figure out which inappropriately named bird to do tomorrow.
