The session will take place on Zoom on Wednesday, 25 March at 2pm EDT / 6pm UTC. You can find more information, including the link to join, on the CSCCE blog: https://www.cscce.org/2026/02/12/tools-trials-2026-join-us-to-learn-more-about-civicrm/
If you’re not already a member of our community of practice, you can request an invite to join the Slack workspace here (but this isn’t a prerequisite for joining the Tools Trial!): https://cscce-slack-invite-bot.herokuapp.com/
Join the CSCCE community on Slack!

There’s always plenty of time for discussion and Q&A, so we encourage you to bring your own use case and connect with other community managers to try and solve it!

The session will feature presentations from two members of our community of practice who use CiviCRM, Yo Yehudi (OLS) and Lauren Colister (IOI), and is open to anyone interested in using Civi in their community engagement work.

Coming up next week, we’re hosting another community Tools Trial - this time to find out more about the open-source constituent relationship management platform CiviCRM: https://www.cscce.org/2026/02/12/tools-trials-2026-join-us-to-learn-more-about-civicrm/

CSCCE Tools Trials are an opportunity to learn more about online platforms and apps that support community engagement and online events.

Tools Trials 2026: Join us to learn more about CiviCRM - CSCCE

Join us on 25 March 2026 for our second Tools Trial of the year, when we'll continue our theme of open-source platforms and explore CiviCRM!

And you can find out more about CSCCE’s full professional development training catalog (including our Community Manager Certification Program) on the CSCCE website: https://www.cscce.org/trainings/

We combine our signature training sessions with “office hours” sessions intended to support participants in putting what they’ve learned into action in their communities or community-engaged projects.

Again if this is something you’re interested in learning about, please contact info [at] cscce [dot] org.

Like PMB, we have offered CEF as private cohorts (and we still can, if you’re interested!). But more recently, we’ve also been refining a “mini-CEF” offering for clients.

This 6-session training (with one session per week), involves an applied exploration of the CSCCE Community Participation Model: https://www.cscce.org/resources/cpm/

Our other training cohort that’s about to get started is our long-standing foundational training in community engagement for STEM community managers: https://www.cscce.org/trainings/cef/

We’re excited to get to know our new cohort at a social hour later this week, then next week we’ll start discussing the meaning of “community” and the various ways community engagement supports the STEM ecosystem.

This will also be our third private cohort of the course (and the first of several on the schedule for 2026), which lends itself to supporting connection amongst peer networks. You can find out more about PMB here: https://www.cscce.org/trainings/project-management-for-scientists/

And if you’re interested in a private cohort for your team, community, organization, or department, let us know by sending an email to info [at] cscce [dot] org. You can also find a one-page PDF info sheet for easy download here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18390917

PMB is a seven-session online intensive that offers a grounding in the basics of project management, tailored to apply to specific STEM contexts and with a strong emphasis on the interpersonal considerations that support successful collaborative work.

We developed the training at the end of 2024, and ran two sold-out cohorts last year. PMB will be available to individual learners again later this year - let us know if you’re interested using this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSespB7f8Hzp0qJXLGvuoGghlWwmDXAytLQMKdcfpiaPVG08wQ/viewform?usp=header
