Johanssen Obanda, Community Manager for Crossref’s ambassador program, manages a global community, and through his time in the program he’s focused on understanding how he can better support distributed volunteers.
Zoë Leanza, Communications Manager at Sage Bionetworks, also focuses a lot of her time on comms and content in her community, and is looking forward to expanding her staff team next year.
Allie Lau, Public Engagement Senior Programs Manager at the American Physical Society, took a particular interest in co-creating community events, activities, and resources during her time in the program.
Yan-Kay Ho, Project/Community Manager for Open Bioeconomy Lab & Reclone, also shared how community and project management can go hand-in-hand, and has recently been working to finalize a new playbook for her team.
Sophie Bui, Community Manager at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, recently completed her training with Nurturing Online Communities (NOC), and shared her Project Management knowledge during her QSS.
Rieley Auger, Program Coordinator for the Global Land Programme, joined the program in June of 2024, quickly completing her required courses and then focusing her electives on coordinating a large, international community of volunteers.
And Zach, Community Manager at the Open Molecular Software Foundation, continues to champion the value of being part of the CSCCE community - “It’s as if you are bowling with bumpers!”
