Do I really want to put anything of substance here?
@jeff @postfilm I worry that it's a fossil. I had High hopes when I joined, and it certainly has less frustration than Twitter. But not nearly enough to hold my interest. I come here once every few months.
@paradisecreated I rith an gheimhridh, ba mhaith liom níos mó Gaeilge a fhoghlaim. Ba mhaith liom breathnú ar an bhféilire seo gach lá. Má fhéachaim ar an bhféilire seo gach lá, foghlaimeoidh mé níos mó focail Ghaeilge.

@paradisecreated Ba mhaith liom féilire. Teastaíonn féilire uaim. Cén cineál féilire a theastaíonn uaim? Tá féilire Gaeilge de dhíth orm. Cén fáth a bhfuil an féilire seo de dhíth orm? Ba mhaith liom Gaeilge a fhoghlaim. Ba mhaith liom an teanga seo a fhoghlaim. Ba mhaith liom focail Ghaeilge a fheiceáil. Ba mhaith liom na focail seo a fheiceáil gach lá. Cuirfidh mé seo i mo theach.

Anois tá sé mí na Nollag. Anois tá sé an gheimhridh.

@paradisecreated I want a calendar. I need a calendar. What kind of calendar do I need? I need a Gaeilge calender. Why do I need this calendar? I want to learn Gaeilge. I want to learn this language. I want to see Gaeilge words. I want to see these words every day. I will put this in my house.

Now it is December. Now it is winter. During the winter, I want to learn more Gaeilge. I want to look at this calendar every day. If I look at this calendar every day, I will learn more Gaeilge words.

@paradisecreated to see every day = a fheiceáil gach lá
house / in the house / in my house = teach / sa teach / i mo theach
houses / in these houses / in my houses / in our houses = tithe / sna tithe seo / i mo thithe / inár dtithe

@paradisecreated Something like this?

calendar / calendars = féilire / féilirí
face / my face / your face = aghaidh / mo aghaidh / do aghaidh
word / words = focal/focail
every day = gach lá
language / languages = teanga / teangacha
December / month / this month = Nollaig / mí / an mhí seo
winter / during the winter / cold winter = geimhreadh / i rith an gheimhridh / geimhreadh fuar
Christmas = Nollag

@paradisecreated This isn't exactly what you asked for, but you could use a dictionary (https://www.teanglann.ie/en/eid/) or even Google Translate to translate a certain (small) number of words into Gaeilge. This can be a good, simple way to keep the language in front of your face. If you copy and paste these to a document, you can then review words from that day and previous days.

Report: 90% Of Waking Hours Spent Staring At Glowing Rectangles

PALO ALTO, CA—A new report published this week by researchers at Stanford University suggests that Americans spend the vast majority of each day staring at, interacting with, and deriving satisfaction from glowing rectangles.

@Ink_Soul Bíonn sé deacair ag daoine scéalta a scríobh ar leibhéal íseal. Níl sé deacair abairtí a scríobh ag leibhéal A1 nó A2, ach is deacair scéalta a scríobh ag na leibhéil ísle seo. Tá sé seo ar eolas agam mar is múinteoir Béarla mé, agus níl sé éasca dom scéalta a scríobh d’fhoghlaimeoirí ag an túsleibhéal.
@Ink_Soul Tá sé sin suimiúil. Cad iad na hainmneacha atá ar chuid de na leabhair éasca agus na scéalta éasca atá á léamh agat? Tá a fhios agam go bhfuil leabhar scríofa ag Olly Richards (ceann de shraith i go leor teangacha éagsúla) ach tá sé den chuid is mó B1 nó fiú B2. Ró-deacair dom!
