#WritersCoffeeClub May 1: Workers' Day: What can we do to support and protect other writers, not only now, but in the future as well?

Take the time to like, read their writing, offer encouragement. Ppl forget that writers put a lot of themselves into what they do. It's super demoralizing to spend w/e time on something they love, only to find that no one really bothers to read it.

I'd say to do this for other creatives too. Just a little bit of feedback can be the diff between someone keeping themselves motivated and giving up.

Someone else promotion day

Had to fly somewhere this morning, which is when I get most of my reading done these days. I had @Firlefanz 's A Wolf's Quest along, which was an excellent choice. I devoured it in the course of my travel. Really a lovely, interesting story with a sweet romance as an extra treat. First book already set a great immersion into the series.

@davidrevoy's comics are adorable. They make me smile every time they pop up in my feed.

And I love that he does things different and right, from using only open source software to licensing https://peppercarrot.com as CC-BY-SA (you can remix his work, even to make commercial works, as long as you include attribution and license it similarly)

Then there's @al_dente (crochet among other things), @StevenLawsonPhotography (photography and host of Monochrome March), @RMa (painting), @AlisonCorfield, whose mixed-media sketchbook keeps inspiring me.
