I'm making this post since the steam release for this game is in 2 days. I am speaking as a player with experience with the game and as a player who played the game all the way back in August 2020.

This game is not cozy. Its a grind or die type of game. Once you finish the main storyline it becomes just another dress up game with very limited social interactions. You will eventually have to start constantly logging in every day for daily quests if you want to keep up with the constant barrage of Traveling Spirits.

Traveling Spirits are spirits from long past seasons who will appear in a "random" order and you get 3 days to get their cosmetics. If you miss one, you have to wait maybe 1 or 2 years before that spirit comes back. Some people have been waiting for 4 years for one spirit, Dancing Performer. (who had to be brought back by force by a community poll)

Now, I am not one that is particularly into this spirit, but I know others who have been waiting for this spirit to come back since Season of Dreams ended. This spirit is going to be extremely expensive if you are just starting out the game and haven't gotten a bunch of candles, hearts and ascended candles, which are the game's currency.

The game will infact, encourage you to buy their overpriced currency packs. The game will make your friendships entirely around getting hearts. Your friends are not your friends, they are someone that is meant to light you. If you don't light people in their constellation, you might get blocked eventually since the game is entirely about grinding until you drop.

The devs no longer care about the plot, they only care about appealing to their investors, and that bag. They will actively censor you in their own discord server if you are upset at the state of the game. Don't go to their official server if you want honest people to talk to you about this game. They have hounds of people that will infact manipulate you into thinking that everything is happy and fine.

TL;DR The steam tags are lying to you about this game's intentions. It is nothing other than a dress up game that wants your wallet to drain dry. Play at your own risk.
