swissletOur cat - who is 1 and we picked up from the RSPCA yesterday - is using our shower tray as a toilet. She is apparently litter trained, and has a tray available filled with her usual litter. Any suggestions how we break this habit? She’s going to be indoors for the next 4-6 weeks, and although there are worse places she could be going, it would be better if we could break this before it becomes a habit. #cats #catsofmastodon

Coat it with cyanotype chemicals.
Fold it into an origami crane.
Let it be a crane for a while, in any place with a bit of light. Ignore it, play with it, whatever.
After a while, unfold it. Develop.
You'll get an image.
The image is the memory of it's experience as an origami crane.
Repeat. Every crane's experience - and hence every image - will be unique.

Browsing a rescue site's rehoming section, as you do, and pretty much every cat is marked as can't/prefers not to live with other cats... Even the ones being re-homed as a pair.
