I started this blog (more precisely: the blog "And my story goes...") as some kind of 2024 project. I noticed (and it hurts) to be a prime example of how not to talk to yourself.

One year and I'm still here. I mean in/with this blog. my self-talk "George" tried to get me off track of course, more than once.
I guess he didn't want me to learn all his tricks.
George, my stream of thoughts is basically like a web forum. And you, dear old friend, are its troll.
So I guess this means open rebellion.

“Time flies.” Except when it doesn't.
Airport waiting areas always have this effect on me: They feel void of time. Everything is designed to stay constant.
But when I'm on a bus, the bus progresses, not me. Or do I?
Does it feel less like waiting if I get somewhere and not just “somewhen”?

We all occasionally do thing “just for fun”. From barely noticeable things like humming a melody over doodling on a sheet of paper to more lasting actions like fixing a broken thing in your place.
But your selftalk is whispering from around the corner:
"Hmm, well you should have put more effort in. I mean, you invested time, didn't you?"

We all get taught that "communication is a two-way street".
But what if they understood all along but hope to get a different answer by asking again?

Age. The final frontier.
Ok, maybe not the exact quote but let's be honest: we all think about age a lot.
A friend was acting silly which I called out as “acting like a child”.
What exactly was my problem?
The German language has a word which – as my German friends tell me – is only rarely if at all used, yet it made its way into other languages: “Weltschmerz”
I don't consider Weltschmerz to be self-talk, it isn't a dialogue. At its core it is merely this feeling of pain too big to comprehend, sitting and screaming opposite to silent helplessness and impotence.

I can still remember when I started the blog months ago:
"Let's see how long until I run out of content!"
And now it feels like I might never stop. ^^
I have a question to the experienced bloggers around here: I picked topics in a random order, basically let them come to me, inspired by life. How do you catalog them, so that you don't repeat yourself?
